Looking to Volunteer?

At Volwing we recruit volunteers and refers them to our client organisations in the community. We match skills with opportunities, where appropriate we organise training for volunteers and clients. Volunteering through Volwing is a FREE service to volunteers.

Volunteering is a win-win. Good for the community, good for us who volunteer. Social interaction and participating in activities which are interesting and enjoyable are very important for our physical and mental wellbeing. Volunteering overcomes isolation, it’s time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain.

At any given time, we have a large number of vacancies for a variety of volunteer roles.
Currently, we have volunteer positions involving areas such as computer tutors, companions, office administrators, gardeners, delivery people, community drivers, retail assistants, maintenance people, cafe assistants, community radio jobs, reading and maths tutors, arts and craft, literacy support and kitchen and food preparation.

We could ask you to come in for an interview for certain positions and clients, at which time you will be given a handbook that will provide comprehensive details of your rights and responsibilities as a volunteer; at this time you will be asked to complete this form below, if not already done online.

In accepting a referral to any of our client organisations, you are agreeing that you have considered the time and skills you are offering.

We ask you to advise us if the organisation or position we have referred you to does not suit. You are welcome to make another appointment/online contact to find another position as many times as you like.

We will also contact you within the first month to ensure you have settled in with your referred position(s) and also two months following your appointment
